A new residence to welcome hematology patients

Mitsubishi Electric supports AIL Milan, particularly their new residence project in Vimodrone, which will provide six apartments for patients and their families.

As part of our commitment to supporting community well-being and scientific research, we are proud to support AIL Milano this year. Founded in 1976, AIL Milano is a volunteer organization affiliated with AIL Onlus, the Italian Association against Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Myeloma, based in Rome. The Association aims to advance scientific research on leukemia and other malignant blood diseases and to alleviate, and where possible, eliminate the marginalization and hardship caused by these illnesses.

This year, we are excited to support the new "AIL Residence for Hematology Patients" project in Vimodrone. This initiative, which the Association has been working on for some time, addresses the growing need for sustainable and welcoming housing solutions for patients who must travel to Milan in search of hope and healing.

The new AIL Residence will feature six fully independent apartments and communal spaces where families can share their challenges, concerns, and moments of relaxation, all of which are essential for coping with illness more peacefully.

The construction of the facility is now in its final stages, with tasks such as external paving and furnishing underway. The inauguration of the AIL Residence in Vimodrone is scheduled for the end of 2024.
