Charity Christmas to support the "Child Care" project by LILT
For Christmas, Mitsubishi Electric employees volunteer with LILT, offering support at the holiday corner for the "Child Care" project set up at the company's headquarters
A cancer diagnosis affects not only the patient but also deeply impacts their family, especially when children are involved. For this reason, LILT (Italian League for the Fight Against Cancer) created the Child Care project, which supports both young cancer patients, aged 0 to 21, and their parents.
From the moment of diagnosis, the Association discreetly accompanies them throughout the treatment process, providing accommodation, educational and recreational activities, and financial support. Even after discharge, families can rely on direct contact with the oncologist who knows their child, ensuring continuous support.
For Christmas, our company decided to take part in an important charity initiative in support of the Association and its project, working alongside other organizations in the Vimercate campus that hosts our headquarters.
On Wednesday, November 27, and Thursday, November 28, several of our colleagues volunteered at the LILT Christmas corner set up in the building's common areas, where they helped sell holiday gifts. All proceeds will go toward supporting the Child Care project.
At Mitsubishi Electric, we’re proud of our colleagues' involvement, whether by volunteering their time or purchasing solidarity gifts, demonstrating a true spirit of giving and support for the cause.
