From Rome to Milan: two marathons for solidarity and inclusion
Several teams made up of 15 Mitsubishi Electric employees, accompanied by experienced runners and friends, took part in the Rome Marathon and the Milan Marathon in support of projects by the associations Dianova and Alice For Children.

At Mitsubishi Electric, corporate social responsibility isn’t just a principle—it’s a mission. We turn it into real actions that support the communities we operate in. Sports play a key role in this, as we believe in their incredible power to bring people together, break down barriers, and raise awareness of important social issues.
A great example of our commitment is our participation in the Rome Marathon 2025 and Milan Marathon 2025, two iconic charity events for running enthusiasts worldwide. This year, our teams, made up of 15 colleagues alongside experienced runners and friends, ran with a special goal: to support the solidarity projects of Dianova and Alice for Children.
At the Rome Marathon, our support for Dianova helped fund projects and workshops for the women hosted at the Palombara facility. Female addiction is a complex and often underestimated issue: while one in three substance users is a woman, only 14% of those receiving support from Addiction Services (SerD) are female. Cultural barriers, social stigma, violence, and financial difficulties make the path to recovery even more challenging. Through running, our colleagues made a real contribution to this cause, helping to offer these women a chance at a better future.
At the Milan Marathon, Mitsubishi Electric ran alongside Alice for Children to support the construction of a new school area in Maranatha, in the heart of Nairobi’s slums. This project is crucial to ensuring education and a daily meal for the children in the program, giving them not only a safe place to learn but also hope for a better future.
A big thank you to our colleagues and friends who enthusiastically took part in these initiatives, and to everyone at Dianova and Alice for Children who work with dedication every day to turn commitment into real opportunities.
