Mitsubishi Electric supports CESVI in providing aid to the people of Myanmar
Following the earthquake on March 28, 2025, the company has offered its support to the organization assisting thousands of people affected by the serious emergency.

On March 28, 2025, more than 3,600 people lost their lives and 4,800 were injured in a devastating earthquake that struck Myanmar.
In the face of this dramatic situation, the Italian branch of Mitsubishi Electric decided to make a concrete contribution by supporting the humanitarian organization CESVI, which has been active in the field since the early days of the emergency, providing vital and concrete assistance to millions of people who, in a context already marked by deep fragility, continue to urgently need support even months after the event.
Our contribution is intended as a tangible sign of closeness and solidarity with the affected communities, as well as support for the tireless work of the organization, its volunteers and staff. CESVI’s work on the ground includes:
- Providing food kits and non-food emergency kits containing tents, plastic sheets, water purification tablets, solar-powered LED lamps, solar torches, and other essential items to over 15,000 people;
- Supporting the distribution of aid in the most remote and affected areas, such as the Southern Shan region, where CESVI has assisted 20 families by providing financial support to rebuild their traditional stilt houses, while also installing dedicated wastewater filtration systems to prevent untreated waste from entering Inle Lake;
- Expanding the reach of interventions, with the goal of helping as many people in difficulty as possible.
The donation from the Italian branch adds to that of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, aimed at supporting relief operations and disaster prevention and mitigation activities in Myanmar and Thailand, coordinated by the Japanese Red Cross Society.
On the occasion of this tragedy, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all those - volunteers, operators, and colleagues - who have generously and committedly taken action to support the affected populations.
