Our commitment for a healthy heart at school

Among numerous ongoing initiatives, we have recently contributed to the project to make the State Comprehensive School of Casatenovo “Cardio-protected”, thanks to the delivery of a semi-automatic DAE defibrillator.

Among the projects that over the years we have chosen to support as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility Programme are also several of the non-profit organization Brianza per il Cuore, or “Brianza for the Heart”. This is a local association that aims to promote and coordinate social and health initiatives aimed at fighting and preventing cardiovascular disease, such as through the promotion of culture, research and initiatives to equip schools, gyms and public places, as well as through the training and refreshing of staff for the promotion of health in schools.

Among numerous ongoing initiatives, we have recently contributed to the project to make the State Comprehensive School of Casatenovo “Cardio-protected”, thanks to the delivery of a semi-automatic DAE defibrillator.

This is an essential piece of equipment for safeguarding the health of children. Recent studies and analyses have shown that timely intervention and, in particular, the immediate use of a defibrillator during a heart attack can really make a difference and save a life.

To the equipment handover ceremony, during Christmas 2015, came several local authorities, school leaders, teachers and the real protagonists, the children of the school itself, since the goal is to safeguard their health, especially at school, where they spend much of their day.

“Cardio-protected Schools” is just one of many Brianza per il Cuore’s projects that we have decided to support over the last five years, as part of a productive collaboration that will continue through 2016.
