As reported by all media outlets, Central Italy was hit, towards the end of August, by a series of significant seismic events with an epicentre in the provinces of Rieti, Ascoli Piceno and Perugia.

A decree will be passed within a month from now for the rebuilding of areas affected by the earthquake event. Meanwhile, there are numerous contributions of aid to the affected populations through various private and corporate fundraising projects.

The three companies of the Mitsubishi Electric Group in Italy, Mitsubishi Electric Europe (Italian Branch), MELCO Hydronics & IT Cooling (Climaveneta/RC) and Mitsubishi Electric Klimat Transportation Systems, are united in contributing to aid initiatives and the reconstruction of affected areas in Central Italy.

The companies will make a joint donation of 100,000 Euros to the Italian Red Cross, an ever frontline organization in supporting the populations affected by this natural calamity.

Social responsibility is an integral part of the mission of the entire Mitsubishi Electric Group, which is always ready to reach out to communities in which it operates in such unfortunate circumstances as this.
