Creating an environment in which to take one's mind off things, where to relax and talk with other parents of children under medical care, an environment with a locker and a fridge for small comforts. This is the aim of the Tisaneria dei Genitori, a hosted space inside the Maria Letizia Verga Centre of the MBBM Foundation at Monza.

The Paediatric Oncological-haematology Centre was established on the private initiative of the 'Onlus Comitato Maria Letizia Verga' Committee in order to offer better treatments, the highest possible level of recovery from childhood leukaemia and the best quality of life, in a context which takes charge of all the practical and emotional needs of the family. The philosophy which has guided the project of creating the Maria Letizia Verga Centre of the MBBM Foundation at Monza was that of designing the Hospital around its users: the children, the parents and the medical staff. The spaces have been arranged to guarantee assistance, treatment and support for research. The materials and the colours were defined with care, to give a feeling of "home".

Thanks to the donation from our Climatization Division, the Maria Letizia Verga Centre now has a new space where the families may find a little comfort during the difficult period of their children's illness.
