Mitsubishi Electric’s and Class 3B of Istituto Superiore Niccolò Macchiavelli’s participation in the sixth editon of the European project promoted by Fondazione Sodalitas at Milan’s Teatro Franco Parenti closed on May 7th in a morning session rich in content. Goal of the initiative is to promote STEM studies and overcoming gender stereotypes, bridging the gap between the demand of STEM professionals and the number of young professionals entering the workforce.
On February 27th, Mitsubishi Electric kicked off the program meeting the students at school, where they listened to the working experience and challenges of a woman engineer working in the Air Conditioning Division of the company. The second day of the program, which took place at the Agrate Brianza headquarters of Mitsubishi Electric, focused on hands-on activities with a visit to the Demo & Training Room of the Factory Automation Division and at the Training Center of the Air Conditioning Division, two centres of excellence within the company. At the end of the experience, students gave their feedback, showing particularly good understanding and analytical ability.
