Mitsubishi Electric alongside the Tra Terra e Luna Foundation: inclusion and culture at the Sforzesco Castle
In the 2025/2026 school year, Mitsubishi Electric supports the AutArt project by the Tra Terra e Luna Foundation, which has enabled 1200 students to take part in inclusive guided tours at the Sforzesco Castle.

Mitsubishi Electric’s commitment to promoting inclusion, culture, and social innovation is reflected in concrete actions, such as its support for the AutArt project by the Tra Terra e Luna Foundation. The initiative, dedicated to making cultural heritage truly accessible to everyone, has enabled students from 61 schools in Milan and beyond to visit the Sforzesco Castle through educational programs specifically designed for autistic and neurodivergent students.
AutArt was created with the aim of breaking down the barriers that often prevent children and young people with autism, learning disabilities (DSA), ADHD, and other educational needs from fully enjoying artistic and cultural experiences. During the current school year, the Sforzesco Castle has opened and will continue to open its doors to primary and lower secondary schools, offering guided tours and activities adapted to the needs of all students, thanks to the collaboration between the Tra Terra e Luna Foundation, Ad Artem, and Fabula Onlus.
Each participating class receives an educational kit that includes printed and digital materials, visual schedules, simplified maps, pictograms, and sensory tools. During the visit, children can use practical supports such as stim toys to enjoy the experience in a calm and engaging way.
The guides, specially trained in neurodiversity, lead the students through paths such as “The Enchanted Castle” and “The Treasure Hunt”, turning them into truly inclusive experiences.
The AutArt project does not only make art accessible to those who usually face barriers, but also offers an educational and social model in which diversity is a strength. The first phase of the project, which involved more than 1.200 students, shows that this format can be replicated in other museums and cultural settings, becoming a positive example of social innovation.
Through our support for AutArt, we wish to reaffirm the value of inclusion and culture as universal rights, with the belief that together we can truly remove barriers and build a fairer future for everyone.
