Mitsubishi Electric sponsors UXforKids School Milan to nurture young people’s digital and creative skills

Mitsubishi Electric supports UXforKids School Milan, the world’s first UX Design school for children aged 7 to 13, offering dedicated benefits to employees as part of the initiative.

At Mitsubishi Electric, education is not just a slogan, but a strategic pillar for the future. Supporting skills, creativity, and critical thinking in young people means investing in society and contributing to the growth of new generations, strengthening the abilities that will shape tomorrow’s professionals. In line with this commitment, the company is sponsoring UXforKids School Milan, the world’s first UX Design school created specifically for children aged 7 to 13.

We live in a time when even the youngest are active digital users, often without fully understanding how the technologies they use every day actually work. UXforKids School Milan was created to bridge this gap. The program, running from February to May 2026, aims to help children become aware, confident, and active participants in the digital world, teaching them how to design inclusive, sustainable, and future-oriented solutions.

The project is structured into 10 lessons: 7 in-person sessions held at WAU’s creative spaces in Milan, and 3 external experiences hosted by companies. Activities guide participants through all the key phases of digital design, from building empathy and defining user personas, to brainstorming, creating wireframes and prototypes, and finally presenting their projects to parents, partners, and industry professionals.

Each module is designed to encourage creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, giving children the opportunity to learn directly from designers and innovators working at leading Italian and international companies.

The educational program, developed by UXfor S.r.l. and the non-profit association UXforFuture APS - both founded by UX Designer Gloria Chiocci - places a strong focus on inclusivity. Learning is designed to be accessible and engaging for every student, with particular attention to dyslexia. The goal is to nurture young innovators who can face change with independence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, while promoting core values such as sustainability, inclusion, and gender equality, in line with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda Sustainable Development Goals

The initiative is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility strategy and includes the award of two fully funded scholarships, reserved for employees’ children, to take part in the educational program.
